What is tagua?
The tagua nut is a unique and sustainable material, which grows on a certain type of palm tree in South America. This nut has an ivory like quality, which is why it is also known as vegetable ivory and is a sustainable and eco-friendly substitute to animal ivory.
The tagua beads from this necklace have been sourced from a small family run workshop in Ecuador and are providing much needed work.
